This pristine ranch offers opportunities to fly fish over 2.5 miles of high alpine meadows perfectly suited for both the beginner and experienced angler. The Ranch joins the Carson National Forest and Cruces Basin Wilderness making a front yard of 354,000 acres uninhabited timberland, sitting on top of a high plateau from 8,000 to nearly 11,000 feet in elevation. Open meadows, rich in wild flowers, are interspersed with stands of pine, spruce, fir and aspen. This ranch offers fly fishing enthusiasts access to the best water in the headwaters of the legendary Brazos River. The river is famous for producing record class wild brook trout, rainbows, cuttbows and cutthroat trout.
In Ti Piper's book, Fishing in New Mexico, he says, "...In The Brazos box, above Corkin's Lodge and the Brazos River meadows, in the high country, offers fantastic wild trout fishing all on private land. There are browns, brook trout, rainbows and cutthroats in the headwater creeks. In terms of wild populations of naturally reproducing trout, the upper Brazos nurtures the best trout fishery in the state, all on private land."

Fly Fishing School
Limited Availability
3 days and nights of private instruction will teach all the fundamentals of fly fishing with practical on-stream experience, utilizing our private waters. This class was designed by popular demand to suit both novice and experienced fishermen alike, who want an in-depth introduction to and knowledge of the sport. Our instructors and guides will work with each person at their own level and pace, helping them to develop any new skills they may need or to improve on existing skills they already have.
The class consists of our casting clinic and a basic introduction to stream ecology, fly selection (matching the hatch), reading water and aquatic entomology. Your instructors will demonstrate how to fish the three major types of flies (dries, nymphs and streamers) on moving water and how to land a fish on a fly rod. There will also be demonstrations and instruction on tying knots, rigging fly fishing gear and fly tying. Most classes will be held riverside. We provide all equipment needed for the class. Lodging and all meals are included.

Wilderness Fly Fishing Adventures
This fantastic wild trout fly fishing experience was designed for the adventurous. The PRIVATE trip includes 4 nights of accommodations (heated canvas wall tent), 3 days fly fishing, sleeping cot, sleeping bag, all meals, horses, fishing guide, wrangler and fly fishing gear if needed. If you want to experience nature and the West in the raw, then this trip is for you!!!!

Reservation and cancellation policies:
A deposit of 50% is required at time of booking. Your deposit is fully refundable only if your trip is canceled 90 days prior to arrival date or clients will have an option to move their deposit to the following year with an additional 25% rebooking fee. Full non-refundable payment is due 60 days prior to arrival day, no-shows and parties arriving with less guests than booked will be charged the full amount.
